I nominate my Mum Mrs Sheelagh Armstrong who was left a widow at aged 47 with 6 children. My Mum never remarried so brought up the children still at home on her own.
At aged 66 my Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer and after an operation and chemotherapy she made a full recovery.
Just before Christmas 2016 (aged 74) I had to rush my Mum into hospital as she was having difficulty breathing - thank god I did as that night she had a heart attack and would have died if she had not been in the hospital where they managed to resuscitate her. Mum had in fact contracted pnuemonia and flu and fighting these two infections is what had put a strain on her heart and caused the heart attack.
Mum was in Intensive care in an induced coma for 7 days with all of her six children around her, we thought it was the end.
Miraculously on the 8th day Mum came round and after another week in hospital and a couple of months convalescing with one of my sisters Mum was well enough to go home again.
My Mum is one or the strongest people I have ever met and is always on hand to help with the childcare of her grandchildren or anyone else who needs her support - she is an absolute Star and we all love her dearly.
It would be lovely if you could send her a bunch of flowers.

I wouldn't be who I am without the continued support and guidance from my Mum. My kids, husband and I are indebted to her. Like so many others, she really deserves recognition.

My wonderful mum is 80 years young and never ceases to amaze me. She has been house bound for the past 4years due to mobility issues and despite the fact that she is stuck in the confines of her own house she continues to hold on to her terrific sense of humour. She worries about everyone else all of the time and never lets her issues get her down.
I nominate my mum because she is simply the best! Xxx

Mum/Granny is so kind and caring she looks after all four of her Grandchildren after school and still manages to support her Inner Wheel work for Charity along with playing the organ at Church. She helps out in whatever way she can whatever the cost to herself always putting others first, so I nominate Rachel Gooseman

I nominate my Mum, Rosemary Carter, as she is not only a Mum in a million, but she is also a Sister, Auntie, Nanny & friend in a million. My Mum donated her kidney to her brother but, sadly, he passed away last year. So many people have been helped, supported & loved by my Mum that even people she hasn't seen in years sing her praises. Rosemary, my Mum, is amazing. I don't know where a lot of us would be without her.

Sadly my mum passed away 20 years ago but I would love to nominate my sister. She has raised my nephew without the support of his father and he has grown up to be a kind, considerate individual whom I am very proud of! She is calm, fair and always cheerful, even when she’s had to face some traumatic experiences.
So, my nomination is
