We aim to fill a gap in community care by providing services dedicated to supporting the well-being of both people and their pet during times of need as well as providing visits by volunteers and their own dogs to people who do not have animal companionship. Please donate to support our cause. Our Special Friends is a human-animal bond charity that recognises the important role of companion animals in our lives by providing a range of support services to help those in need to continue to enjoy contact with animals during illness, bereavement and other difficult times. We provide practical and emotional support and work in partnership with human health and social care; as well as vets and animal charities. Our service is free to all in need. We are currently focusing on West Suffolk so we can develop this 'one welfare' approach.
