Open Arts is a charitable community arts & mental health programme managed by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. We work across the county of Essex, helping people to improve & maintain their own mental health & wellbeing, through creative learning, social inclusion & self expression. All our participants are aged 16 or older who have either experienced mental health problems or are a carer. The programme offers courses consisting of taster sessions in visual arts, drama & music, with the aim of providing relaxing social arts groups that encourage new skills and confidence. Open Arts offers volunteer opportunities, links to further learning, research, exhibitions & studio provision at Hadleigh Old Fire Station community arts & culture facility.
